Mangaluru: Passengers who tried to travel to Sharjah with Positive Covid-19 reports from Mangaluru International Airport on Monday, were ordered by health officials under the laws of the Karnataka Epidemic and moved to the isolation center.
Dr.
Ashok H, Nodal Officer for Covid, said the passengers have been tested positively as long as the RT-PCR passengers bound to the UAE are required to take 48 hours before departure.
Despite positive testing, passengers have traveled to Mia.
However, he was stopped at the entrance gate by security staff.
He said Mia and airline officials failed to take the necessary actions against passengers.
“They should isolate him and order a case at the local police station.
But passengers are allowed to roam freely around Mia,” said Dr.
Ashok.
Meeting with airport authorities and airlines was held on Wednesday to ensure no incident was repeated.
Tourists to the UAE must accept previous agreements from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs or Federal Authority for identity and citizenship after uploading documents, including negative RT-PCR test reports that are no more than 48 hours.
“We are not sure which test report is uploaded by passengers,” said Dr.
Ashoka.
