Mangaluru: Former Minister and Mla Mangaluru UT Khader urged the Kerala government not to change the names of Kannada in Kasaragod.
Chairman of the authority of the Border Area of Karnataka C Somasekhara has written a letter to the Government of Kerala with a request not to change the names of places in Kasaragod.
Khader expressed confidence that Kerala would not take steps to ignore the Language Population.
Somasekhara, in his letter to Revenue Minister Kerala K Rajan and PWD Minister PA Mohammed Riyas, has shown that there is an effort by the local body to change the names of several villages without providing opportunities for people to express their views.
