Mangaluru: Multi-faceted from Krishna Mohan no more

Mangaluru: surgeons, researchers, naturalists, cyber techie, and the famous hobby photographer, Dr Krishna Mohan Prabhu AJ died in hospital in the city on Tuesday.
He is 55 years old.
She was hospitalized on December 8 and then was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
According to hospital sources, he was awarded with two rounds of chemotherapy, but it can not be continued because the body can maintain aggressive treatment.
He has been in the ICU for two weeks.
Popularly known as the ‘Krishi’, he was born on November 19 1967 and educated at Jain School, Moodbidri.
He did MBBS and MS in general surgery at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore.
Currently he is the CEO and founder of General Hospital Prabhu, Moodabidri.
He survived his wife Dr.
Radhika Prabhu, Neethi daughter, her mother and three siblings.
Krishna Mohan was a multifaceted personality who is actively involved in a variety of fields.
An avid naturalist, he had a variety of interests such as trekking, mountaineering, wildlife conservation, photography, classical music, gadgets, computers and the Internet.
He was a member of the expedition team in 1990 to Brahma I, to scale 21 050 feet from the top of the 17th toughest in the world is in the western Himalayas.
During this ascent, he had spent the whole two weeks alone in one of the camps in the Himalayan expeditions.
He has the knowledge ensiklopeda on various scientific topics that include wildlife, biology, medicine, astronomy and the people who go to get the information ready for it.
Lately he is interested in Arakhnologi and has collaborated with an international team to conduct research on spiders.
This resulted in several significant discoveries in the behavior of spiders, the level and diversity of species in various parts of India.
Some of these discoveries have been published in peer review scientific journals of international prestige.
He has served the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in the year 1989-92 and conduct camps innumerable natural for young nature enthusiasts in Mudumalai, Bandipur, Nagarhole and Bhadra Wildlife Succuaries.
Currently, he is a member of the wildlife first.
In a unique forest conservation project, he and Ashoka Vardhanas of Arohana, together bought a piece of land 15 hectares of forest reserve at the ghats where a planned resort.
They bought this land in order to prevent its takeover for commercial use and leave the land as a forest without interruption for the last 15 years.
Small container house called Kappe Goodu (nest frog) has been retained for research purposes at this place called ‘Ashoka Vana’.
He is a founding member and Secretary Cyberforum of Mangalore, the organization responsible for obtaining internet connectivity to DKIC and Udupi district.
He did a lot of workshops and lecture demonstrations on the World Wide Web and computers in general in and around mangalore.
His special interest including medical software, bleeding edge technology, Linux and other open source and free software, Pocket PC.
He is a keen hobby photographer with a primary interest in the macro, closeup and nature.
Through his blog (Drkrishi.com), he used to educate people about nature and photography techniques.
He and some friends had started Mangalore Photography Club and regularly conducts photography workshops, boot camp, and the street photos.
He recently started a new venture called creative focus to provide more intense training in photography.
He also parse the photo critic forum is very active on Facebook, which has 2500 members.
This forum helps people to learn and improve photography through critical analysis.
Gather Mohan is also a staunch rationalist and attend a meeting of the establishment for the establishment of the Federation of Indian Rationalist Association (Fira) held in Podanur in Tamil Nadu around two decades back.
During a pandemic Covid, he regularly post the latest scientific developments and updates on Facebook to educate the public and avoid panic.
