Mangaluru: Vistadome coach attached to Junction Mangaluru – Yeshwantpur Day Train will be inaugurated on Sunday.
The City of Shrinivas Poojari City’s minister will be the main guest and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will lead.
Mayor of Premanand Shetty and Mangaluru City, South MLA cell, Vedavyas Kamath will also be present.

Vistadome coach attaches to the express train that runs between Junction Mangaluru and Yeshwantpur Station.
This train crosses through the enchanting Western Ghats, especially the Ghat Sakleshpur-subrahmanya section.
Two Vistadome coaches will be attached to each of the trains in this section.
Every vistadome coach has a seating capacity of 44 with a chair that can be rotated up to 180 degrees.
Wide windows, large will offer clear close-up views for passengers.
Vistadome coach has been produced by an Integral coach factory, Chennai at LHB (LINDE-Hoffman-Busch (Platform / Technology / Technology).
This coach has a glass roof with an anti-glare screen that offers a clear view of the sky even during the summer.
This coach is equipped with CCTV supervision, fire safety system, LED display, oven and refrigerator, mini kitchen, multilevel steel baggage rack, mobile charging sockets in each seat and ‘content-request’ that can be seen by passengers.
Next, the coach is equipped with automatic sliding doors and bio-toilets.
Chairs have a snack table that can be folded, as on the plane.
The coach is also equipped with a GPS-based public address system and Braille signage to help passengers ‘Divyang’ (visually challenged).
There is also space, a kind of lounge provided at the end of the coach with a large viewing window.
The train hopes to knock on tourism potential in this section through this coach.
