MySuru: Some kuntules died and more than a dozen were injured after trees cut down in Kurykya Village on Monday.
The survivors and injured were saved by Birder Ajay Kumar Jain BK on Tuesday.
The birds are used to nest in a peepal tree in the village.
After complaints from residents whose dirt disrupted the area under the tree, all the branches were cut by Panchayat on Monday.
