New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India can dispose of plans to revive the diesel engine for the cars and their hopes in CNG, according to a media on Friday.
This is in line with the emphasis on accelerating vehicle production powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and alternative fuels.
Maruti Suzuki decided to part with Powertrain Diesel in 2019 ahead of the BS6 emissions norm.
The report shows the largest car maker in India is developing a new 1.5 liter of powertrain diesel, which tends to sustain Brezza, Ciaz and other Maruti cars.
Maruti Suzuki is also a leading CNG vehicle maker with 7 cars in the portfolio, which includes Alto, Celerio, Wagon-R, S-Presso, Eeco, Ertiga, Tour S and Super Carry.
The company achieved the highest CNG vehicle sales for the financial year that sold 1,57,954 units at 2020-21.
“The government and the company, in accordance with Suzuki’s plan, are advancing by encouraging CNG vehicles to the maximum limit,” said the economy who reportedly quoted the Chief Maruti Suzuki RC Bhargava.
The industry is automatically preparing for the second round of BS6 emissions norms that will take effect on 2022-23.
The average economic rules of the new company (Cafe 2) will also be implemented in April 2022, which will force car makers to reduce CO2 emissions to 113 g / km from 130 g / km.
This, and some other strict norms, experts believe will change the case into a smaller diesel engine car.
The company on Thursday launched the application of the 24×7 AI Virtual Car Assistant (intelligence), called “S-assist” for its NEXA customer.
Virtual car assistant scanning and capable of sound, S-assist, optimizes the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide an online post-purchase experience to customers.
Maruti Suzuki Nexa customers will be able to access the S-assist through the “Maruti Suzuki Rewards” mobile app available on iOS and Android devices.
S-assist is available for free for Maruti Suzuki Nexa customers.
