Varanasi: Kashi welcomes the new year on Saturday morning with a big event ‘Shankh Nad’ (Blowing Conch), which recording 1,001 people from all age groups from all over the country take part, for a profitable start to 2022.
A total of 1,001 people from all age groups Chosen for their skills in Conch blowing from all over the country gathered at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham which was only inaugurated to take part in a varied ceremony.
Blowing snails is considered profitable and is said to ward off negative energy.
The event organized by the North Zone Cultural Center (NCZCC), Prasagraj, witnessed the participation of young girls and boys with adults from various states.

Suresh Sharma said the Conch Blower was chosen from all countries for this event, which was held as part of the inauguration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
Sharma said the event marked the biggest participation of the blower conch at a certain time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated the Grand Shari Vishi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) on December 13 in front of the Head of Yogi Adityanath’s Chief and a prominent country’s degree.
In addition to the Blowing Conch event, the city also witnessed a large meeting of people in Ganga Ghats and leading temples to give prayers on the first day of the new year and look for blessings for a happy year, prosperous, and healthy year.
Despite the cold weather and the threat of Covid infection, people came out of their homes in large quantities to celebrate the opportunity.
