Vadodara: An expert in making false liquor, Nitin Kotvani was detained under the prevention of anti-social law (PASA) by Prevention of Crime Branch (PCB) on Wednesday.
Kotvani was one of the keys accused of recently captured racquets where liquor was produced in the unit intended to make ayurvedic syrup on the suburbs.
“He was ordered under the Pasa because of being a ‘dangerous person’.
Kotvani has committed a similar crime in the past and he is a violator of a habit that his activities can endanger life,” Jatin Patel said, police inspector.
The police said that Kotvani could make a formulation for Indian foreign liquor (IMFL).
“He has committed a scholar in Science (BSC) and therefore he has a comprehensive knowledge of chemicals.
Years ago, he was ordered to make non-alcoholic beer who had more content of liquor,” said Patel Toi.
The thirty-six-year-old Kotvani was also arrested earlier this year because of making duplicate sanitaryers during the second wave of Covid.
He made a plan to make a duplicate liquor when he was submitted at Vadodara Central Jail.
Kotvani met with two other keys accused by Bhajanlal Bishnoi and Hanuman Bishnoi, both Rajasthan residents, in prison.
Duo was imprisoned under the ban on the ban.
While Kotvani offered to make IMFL formulations and manufacturing liquor, Bhajanlal took the unit at Sankarda Rent.
They then associates in five other people to make liquor and then sell it throughout the state.
The police have raided the unit a few days ago and confiscated hundreds of liters of ethanol along with several machines.
“We have arrested five charges while Bhajanlal and Hanuman have not been arrested,” Patel said.
