The 9000 series of new dimensity is the first 4nm design processor.
The Top Asian chip maker also aims to move beyond a smartphone.
CEO of MediaTek Rick Tsai recently said that the company wants to work with Microsoft.
It aims that Windows 11-based laptops run on mediatek-based processors in the same way as they run on Qualcomm chip.
Microsoft Surface Pro X runs on arm-based Qualcomm processors.
HP PC makers, Lenovo and Samsung also have a Windows PC running on a Qualcomm processor.
Chipbook Power Chip MediaTek running on Chromeos Google.
Chromebook is a vanilla laptop that runs on low-powered processors.
