Mumbai: Special Court in Mumbai on Monday given a bail to Sameer Khan, son-in-law of NCP leaders and Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik, and the other two in drug cases.
Khan was arrested on January 13 this year by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for alleged drug possession.
Khan has been given a guarantee at the guarantee of Rs 50,000, said Taraq Sayyed.
A special NDPS (narcotics of drugs and psychotropic acts) the court also provided guarantees to the celebrity manager Rahila Furniturewala and the United Kingdom National Karan Sejnani each of Rs 50,000 respectively.
NCB, who claimed the defendant had conspired to get, sell, buy and transport 194.6 kilograms of marijuana, has accused Khan and five others because they deal with the commercial number of drugs, crimes that bring a maximum sentence of 20 years.
Khan, in Plea Guarantee was submitted in July after the NCB handed over the accusation, relying on a forensic laboratory report, which said 11 of the 18 samples sent there could not be detected as marijuana.
Guarantee trees say, based on forensic reports, the only sustainable charge in complaints is to deal with a small number of marijuana, where the maximum penalty is one year.
NCB has claimed the majority of drugs confiscated from Sejnani, which is said to be involved in business transactions with Khan.
In Plea Bail, Khan, however, said, according to the evidence collected by NCB, Sejnani had sought financial assistance from him for legitimate businesses about tobacco, and no one showed that he had handled any transaction against conspiracy under NDPS.
