In his opening address at the meeting, Shah reaffirmed the commitment of the Modi government to promote Hindi with all regional Indian languages.
He actually urged delegates to speak in their own national language, with arrangements have also been made for translations of the process into the language spoken by board member countries.
Shah said the zonal council meeting, which involves consultation on the issues of federal concern at the highest level, has been able to resolve many problems even though it is consulting.
