Thiruvananthapuram: Mannanthala police here on Saturday arrested a desired 23-year-old man in connection with the attempt of the murder of the case reported a month ago.
The police identified the defendant with Jithin George aka Manu, a resident of Chittazha near Maruthoor.
Amal Dev of Maruthoor is a complainant in this case sword.
Personal competition was said to be the reason behind the attack.
The defendant escaped after the attack.
He was tracked and arrested by a police team led by the Mannanthala station officer Inspector Baiju and Sub Inspector Gopichandran.
Suspected produced in front of the court and returned in judicial custody.
The police also said that Jithin George had a criminal history, had been accused of being a Pocso law recorded by Kayamkulam police about allegations of sexual abuse of a little girl.
He came out of prison with a guarantee in the case when he attacked Dev’s charity.
