Vadodara: An old man who was identified as Pramod was booked by Police Narmada for trying to visit the statue of Unity (SOU) by posing as a representative of the Prime Minister’s office (PMO).
A clerk from Vadodara has also been named in FIR because he accompanied Pramod along with the other three.
According to the police, the incident occurred on July 17 when Pramod contacted Sou’s official and introduced himself as a member of the PMO Advisory Committee.
He wanted to visit Sou with four other people including Hemant Vyas, a journalist who worked with prominent Gujarati every day.
Sou’s officials tell him that they did not get the intimacy from PMO about the visit.
So, Pramod and the other four then buy sou tickets online and get around the place.
“Collectorate district asked the PMO if there was a member of the committee with the name Pramod.
The request revealed that the person did not have any posts in PMO.
We were then informed about the following incidents that we put fires against the scribe and Pramod to imitate as a government representative,” said PT Chaudhary, Police Inspector, Kevadia.
The police have taken Pramod from Delhi and Scribe are also questionable.
