Rajkot: Despair to get a match for his marriage resulted in a 34-year-old man from Jamnagar to fall into the trap of the desesteres who extorted Rs 1.5 lakh from him.
The victim of Harshad Aghara, who lives in Jodiya Taluka, was lured by a promise to find a bride with three people who then clicked on his nude photos and threatened to file a complaint of rape against him.
According to a complaint that lodged in Kuvadva’s police, Aghara said he had received a video call from a woman who identified himself as Zeenat aka Bebi Makwana.
He, however, told Aghara that he had taken his number accidentally and apologized too.
However, he continued to lure him and Aghara told him that he was looking for a woman to get married.
Zeenat promised to find a match for him.
On November 15, he called him to meet with the groom in a flat on the Society of Rangila in the Anandpar Navagam on the outskirts of Rajkot.
Zeenat began talking to him and made him naked.
Like naked Aghara, two other accused.
Viha Katariya and Hansa Aghola, suddenly came there and identified themselves as Uncle and Aunt Zeenat.
They accused Aghara trying to seduce and raped Zeenat and threatened to file a complaint.
He was also beaten and Trio along with unidentified people demanded Rs four lakh.
They finally settled at Rs 1.5 Lakh and made Aghara to arrange money through couriers.
Aghara was released after he paid them Rs 1.50 lakh.
Aghara after that approached the police who showed him a photo of several suspects involved in similar crimes.
He identified the trio and the police ordered it.
Hansa was arrested because he was questioned.
They were arrested for the same crime before too.
