Thiruvananthapuram: In a suspected murder case, a 53-year-old man was found dead in a house in Kandamthitta near Ambori with torn wounds above the head and neck.
Selvamuthu from Jibin Bhavan in Kandamthitta is the deceased.
The police have taken his wife Sumatha to become custody of suspicion of committing evil.
The police said they suspected the murder might occur around 3am.
Is a wife who contacted close relatives and told them about his death.
There were two deep wounds at the deceased’s neck, apparently caused by hacked repeatedly.
The only other person at home was the two sons of the couple, a 16-year-old autistic and 10 year old child.
The son of the couple pursued a nursing course in Bangalore.
Police said Sumaratha was known as someone with mental illness.
Even though the police tried to record his statement, he gave random replies and was not coherent to their questions.
Therefore, they have decided to find a service of a psychologist to extract information from it.
Until then, he would be stored under the supervision of the police.
