Rajkot: Seven people were arrested on Thursday late at night in Rajkot for allegedly kidnapping a 23-year-old man to recover the money loaned to him by one of the defendants.
According to the police, Rahul Boricha (23), a resident of Indira Nagar in the Raiiyadhar area in Raiyadhar, filed a complaint against Ajay Mehta, Pritesh Gotecha, Parmar Rusi, Ajay Udhrejiya, Deepak Dangar and Hemraj Gadhvi and Dilaep devipapping to mistake and kidnap him wrong Thursday.
A few months ago, Boricha, who worked in a private company, had borrowed Rs 7,000 from Deepak Devipujak through his friend Ajay Mehta.
Over the past few days, Devipujamak asked Borischa to repay the loan.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Boricha went to a temple at Rail Nagar where he crashed into Mehta and was accused of another.
When Mehta demanded Rs 7,000, Boricha said he would immediately return it.
Angry Mehta called Devipujam, who was reportedly asked him to kidnap Boricha.
“Devipujak advice, Mehta and the others kidnapped Boricha and took him to a farm in Lodhika Village.
Boricha was made to call his mother Manjuben.
The defendant asked him to save Rs 1.5 lakh ready for a safe release of Boricha,” the police said.
Manjuben approached the police who swung in action and put the trap and secured the release of Boricha on Thursday late at night and arrested seven defendants.
