Ghaziabad: A 30-year-old man suspected of trying to sacrifice himself outside the SSP office on Thursday.
The man, Jitendra Kumar aka Jittu, a resident of the Vijay Nagar region, alleged that his family was harassed with money disputes but the police did not help them.
On Thursday, Jitendra reached the SSP office in Rajnagar with his wife and children and tried to pour kerosene on himself.
However, police personnel were deployed in the office and stopped him.
Swantantra Singh, Circle Officer-1 then said that he had talked to the victim.
“Soon the two groups will be called to resolve this problem,” he added.
