Mangaluru: A man involved in the case of theft at the Limit of the Putton City Police Station was arrested after 36 years.
It was a constable head parameshwar that gathered information about accusing Lingappa, 56, from Charvaka Village in Putture.
He fled because a case was registered with him in 1985.
Police said that he spent five years in Shivamogga as a driver of the Autorickshaw, and then shifted his base to Tannir Bhavi in Mangaluru.
He married a woman from a different community and changed her name to Rehmat Khan.
He used to make a living by selling scallops for almost 29 years.
In the next three years, it works for a private construction company in various places, including Hubbali and Batawayavi.
A week ago, he returned to Mangaluru, and lived in Vamanjoor.
In reliable information, the team under the guidance of senior officials arrested him.
He was ordered under the IPC Section 457 (Lurking House-Trespass or House-Breaking by Night) and 380 (theft at home residential).
