MySuru: A 41-year-old man allegedly killed in Sunnadakeri, under the jurisdiction of the Krishnaraja police station on Tuesday midnight.
The police suspected that Govinda Raju died while fighting with neighbors, which erupted theft of Merpati.
Police said that Govinda Raju’s son kept several sponsors, some of which were allegedly stolen a few days ago.
Govinda Raju and other members of the household accused their neighbors involved, which triggered a heated debate, which quickly increased into a fight.
“Govinda Raju was pushed to the ground, and suffered a severe injury on his head, he said later,” police said, adding that they had detained two young people involved in the incident, while the other two fled.
