Rajkot: A man who tried to burn himself near the gas station in Rajkot on January 26 has filed a complaint of the police against the gasoline owner under the ACT Atroocity.
The man claimed that the owner of the gas station did not allow him to use the toilet because he was Dalit.
However, the gas station owner also filed a complaint against the man who accused him of endangering the lives of people by trying to sacrifice himself at the gas station.
Mayur Sondarva (25), a resident of Ghanteshwar Park, on January 26 carry a bottle filled with kerosene to the gas station and try to sacrifice himself.
However, he was stopped by gasoline pump employees.
On Monday Sondarva filed a complaint at the university police station that accused that on January 10 he went to the gas station located in Raiya Road to recharge his bicycle.
After refueling, he went to use the toilet when the Kirit Patel pump owner approached him and asked his chastity.
When he said that he was Dalit, Patel and his son allegedly struggled because he used the toilet without permission, the complaint was stated.
He provided the application to the police but there was no action taken so he tried to sacrifice himself.
After the incident, complaints under the Act of Atrocity was registered with Patel.
Following where the gas station owner, Kirit Patel, also filed a complaint against Sondarva under the IPC part 285 and 336 for trying to blow up the pump and endanger the life of a neighbor by trying to sacrifice himself near the pump.
