Gurugram: Meta, the new parent company formed on Facebook, on Wednesday launched its new office in the city, covering 130,000 square with a digital expert hub for small businesses and digital creators.
Workplace DLF-2, spread over six floors but emphasizes the startup roots of Global Tech Giant, is the first Mandiri office facility in Asia, Meta said.
The office, which was inaugurated by the State Minister Electronics & It Rajeev Chandrashekar, will accommodate the largest team of companies in this country, from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
Facebook’s old office at two Horizon Center on DLF-5 has been closed.
Ajit Mohan, Vice President & Managing Director, Facebook India (Meta) said, “The office will open to anyone who drives changes – whether the creator, small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, or community leaders.” “The room here will see directed and intentional efforts from Meta to trigger their pursuit, ideas, and ambitions.
That is why we embrace ambitious goals to train 1 small business crore and 250,000 creators,” Mohan added.
India, he said, is not just the largest country for Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, but also where, in many ways, the future of the internet is being formed.
Earlier this year, the center announced a rule that requires a large social media platform such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to take additional thorough tests, including the appointment of Head Compliance Officers, Nodal Contact People and Population Complaints Officers in the country.
They will also be asked to have a physical contact address in India.
Speaking at the event, Chandrasekhar said technology greatly changed the country’s track.
“…
Although there will always be a debate about user damage, and all the proliferation of problems made by the internet that develops, we must focus on keeping the internet open, safe and trustworthy and responsible by all means and for all Indians,” he said.
Market analyst said the DLF-2 facility would be the biggest for new participants, if Meta must be considered so, and will consolidate the position of Delhi-NCR as the largest base for technology in India after Bengaluru.
“The new Meta office shows a trend where the absorption of office space in the north is stronger.
After Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR has gotten a lot of traction in the office market room and this announcement is increasingly consolidating it.
This is of course a very encouraging sign for the business scenario as a whole In this country and the area, “said Tata Realty and MD infrastructure and CEO of Sanjay Dutt.
The office also provides meta strategic benefits to have a base in a well-connected area with all parts of the country.
“After Mumbai, Delhi-NCR has seen maximum returns to the office (employees in the middle of the pandemic).
The opening of this office consolidates the office trends closer to employees,” said Viral Desai, Executive Director (transaction) at Knight Frank India.
Desai said the momentum would eventually be felt in the residential real estate market because additional business activities would also see uptick.
“As a thumb rule, each office space of 1,000 square feet produces a request of around 6-7 housing space.
Home demand, both purchases and rent, will rise.
Likewise, the car sector will see an increase in demand in this region,” he added.
Meta said the office had an open floor plan and an unfinished display of startup settings with open concrete pillars and cables on the roof.
The skilled hub has been named.
‘The center triggers the new Indian economy’.
“Workspace is built with the safety of employees in mind, which is why we have a strict Covid safety protocol and experience without varied attraction, both in cafeterias, lifts, or bathrooms.
With the same purpose, we will continue to offer work options Hybrid to our employees and we will develop our approach depending on the external state, “Meta spokesman told Toi.
