Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of Rajan’s income has emphasized the importance of disaster management literacy for the people.
Speaking at the two-day workshop organized by the State Disaster Management Authority in disaster mitigation based on diversity here on Tuesday, the minister said that the disaster due to natural disasters could be controlled to a certain extent even though there was no control over natural disasters.
“Disaster mitigation activities must be carried out scientifically.
People must be made aware of the possibility of disaster events and how to reduce the disaster,” he said.
He said that SDMA was a training department involved in disaster mitigation activities based on the awareness that intervention must be carried out to integrate the scheme in accordance with Kerala.
