Rajkot: An acquaintance made through social media applications turn into a nightmare for a little girl in the city.
Persecuted and harassed by the man to enter a relationship, the little girl even tried to commit suicide on Monday.
The man accused, residents of Raiya Road in the city, were booked on Wednesday by the police.
Only after the girl was dismissed from the hospital and advised that she told her trials.
The girl said that Shehzaad Jogisha had harassed it for some time now.
On Monday night, the defendant came to the girl’s house to press it into a relationship.
The presence of Jogisha has woken up the girl’s grandmother because she left.
The girl then consumed poison but was taken to the hospital on time and saved.
Worried that his parents would scold him, the girl originally cooked a story of drug vendors, who forced him to sell drugs, came to meet him at home.
He also said that a female police officer introduced it to drug vendors.
Based on the statement of the girl, the police had conducted an investigation, but they could not find anything concrete.
Suspecting that the girl lay down, she advised after leaving the hospital and the truth was unraveled.
“We have taken the girl’s complaint and ordered the man for the persecution and under the Pocso (protection of children from sexual violations) acting,” said Inspector A Chavda from the University Police Station.
He added that the girl came into contact with Jogisha through social media applications.
