MySuru: BJP MLC Ah Vishwanath on Monday took the Secretary General of the CT Ravi Party for his Jibes against the former PM Jawaharlal Nehru.
The former minister said Nehru spent more days in prison than he holds, which should not be forgotten by Ravi.
He asked Ravi to refer to the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee speech after Nehru’s death.
“Vajpayee has lamented Nehru’s death said India had lost his prince.
He and his family have donated their income to the Indian freedom movement,” Vishwanath said, wondering whether Ravi had spared even 10 Paisa for the welfare of the nation.
He must be ashamed of his statement against Nehru, he told reporters, adding such a statement describing BJP in a bad light.
Vishwanath also took the leader of the Priyank Kharge Congress over his Jibes against Vajapayee.
“Do you have reason to call Vajpayee a drunk? Like Nehru, he is also famous internationally,” he said, adding senior leaders including former CMS BS Yediyurappa, HD Kumaraswamy, DV Sadandada Gowda and opposition leader at Rajya Sabha Malikarjuna Kharge Kharge silent about the problem this.
The government calls a scheme or project after a symbolic leader, which must be respected, he said.
