Mangaluru: Mangaluru Taluk contributed nearly 76% of Active Covid-19 cases in Dakshina Kannada, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health.
While Dakshina Kannada has 5,325 active cases on Wednesday, more than 4,000 comes from Mangaluru Taluk.
Meanwhile, almost 50% of regency active cases were reported at 60 mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) wards.
Because more than 2,500 active cases are in the insulation of houses in the city limits of Mangaluru, City Corporation has directed the nodal officer of the environmental level to become more alert.

Jagadeesh District Supervision Officer told toi that the number of active cases was very lacking in Bantwal, Putture, Belthangady and Sullia Taluk, compared to Mangaluru.
“We have a large number of cases in Mangaluru City, followed by rural areas in Mangaluru.
More than 90% of active cases in Dakshina Kannada are in house isolation, and covid care centers, because the majority of cases do not show symptoms,” he said.
Because most cases are active in the city of Mangaluru, MCC has taken additional steps to check the spread of the virus.
Commissioner MCC Akshy Sridhar said that more cases were found in groups in educational institutions in the city.
“We have appointed Nodal officers at 60 wards.
Likewise, Nodal officers are appointed in each of the 10 urban PHCs in the city.
The nodal officer has been given the responsibility of monitoring those who undergo treatment in house isolation, and for contacts.
Officials from MCC And the Ministry of Health has also made a door-to-door visit to identify people who are not vaccinated in the city.
Nearly 50% of people who are not vaccinated are in the city of Mangaloru.
We do not face problems because of hesitation from the beneficiaries .
