Guwahati: The day after the police recovered the Hublot watch stolen from Diego Maradona from Assam on Saturday, “Memorabilia” including a jacket, shoes, squash rackets, other watches, matches, hats and iPad confiscated from Wazid Hussain who had been arrested for alleged stealing Watches inheritance from Dubai Soccer Legend’s house.
The police tried to ascertain whether the restored goods belonged to Maradona.
When the Sivasagar District Police did not receive a quick reaction from Dubai police, a case of Suo Motu registered in Wazid at the Sivasagar Police Station.
He was produced in front of the Judician Court Judicial Head in Sovasagar on Sunday, which returned it to the police four days.
Police have begged for 10 days prisoners.
“The case of Suo Motu was registered on Sunday morning and then he was produced in court.
The new recovery from his ownership was made on Saturday night, but the defendant had not claimed that he stole goods from Dubai,” said Sivasagar SP Roushan told toi.
The defendant was the residents of the Sivasagar district on Assam.
However, he was mostly at his in-laws’ house in Moranhat in the nearest Chanaide District.
“We confirm whether the restored items belonged to the legendary soccer players.
But it is true that all items have been stolen from Dubai.
The rest of the things will come out in the investigation,” said the Chief of Police Sovasagar.
Even though the police on Saturday said Wazid was in Dubai for five years since 2016, the police sources added that the confusion continued whether he worked at Maradona’s house as a domestic aid or involved as a security guard.
“There was nothing clear in the defendant’s version.
Information provided with us said he worked there as domestic assistance and other inputs said he worked there as a security guard,” said an inquiry officer.
The officer said Wazid did not work with the police since he was arrested on Friday night.
“Still, he hasn’t confessed anything.
Even about the stolen hublot watch,” he said.
As part of a sustainable operation after the recovery of the stolen Hublot Watch, another search was conducted by the Sivasagar police at the Wazid-in-law’s residence in Khumtai in Moranhat.
Two iPads, jackets, a pair of song pants, t-shirts, two pairs of shoes, dolls, two squash racquets, watches, six matches, vaseline and hats have also been found by the police during the operation.

Police said these articles were seized to observe all the legal formalities needed.
It is a special DGP Assam (law and order) GP Singh, which brings to Twitter on Sunday morning to inform you about more recovery.
According to Wazid family members in Sivasagar, he returned from Dubai about three months ago.
They said he almost snapped with his parents after his marriage in 2005.
“We were told that he worked in Dubai.
We never knew about Maradona’s connection,” said one of his family members.
