Ranchi: Nearly 1.34 Lakh Young Recipients Age aged between 15-17 has taken their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday night, the State Health Department claimed in the daily covid bulletin.
When a national vaccination drive for 15-17 years the group began on January 3, there was an estimate of the beneficiary population of 23.98 lakh.
On Wednesday night, almost 5.6% of all beneficiaries of qualified benefits had taken their first jab.
“There is a lot of excitement and interest between the age group to take Jab,” said a doctor who was involved with Ranchi regional health services.
Vaccination camps, which are being established in government and private schools for encouragement, have witnessed heavy footsteps since morning Ranchi (12,446).
A total of 10,130 young people took their first dose in Garhwa while 10.121 got their first jab in Leather.
Garhwa and Lowerhar are in front of urban districts such as Dhanbad (7,670) and Bokaro (6,913).
Ranchi Administration on Thursday established a special session site in 33 schools in all districts to investigate teenagers.
From them, 17 session sites were in rural areas while 16 were inside and around the state capital of the dose.
With a vaccination drive for the age group 15-17 years and over, health workers and frontline workers are preparing for their booster shots, which will be given from January 10, the level of high infection among city doctors.
