More than 2.6 lakh jabs are given during a special week-long vaccination drive on the distance

Prasagraj: In other achievements achieved by the District Health Authority, more than 2.61 Lakh Jab was given to recipients of all age groups in a special week’s vaccination campaign.
The state health authority has launched a special week’s vaccination program between October 18 and 23 to increase vaccination in this district.
In the Prayagraj district, the Ministry of Health has set a target to cover 45.16 Lakh recipients of all age groups.
However, around 59% of the target recipients have received at least one dose so far while 18% of the recipients are fully vaccinated.
The numbers by the Ministry of Health revealed that the number of Jab given to the beneficiaries until September 30 was 27.26,097 which grew to 34.38.26 on October 23.
Of the total 34,38,126 Jab was given to the recipient until Sunday, as 26.55,589 the recipient was given the first dose while 7.82.537 received the second dose too.
Statistics also revealed that right on the launch of the vaccination drive against Covid-19, a total of 11,504 doses were given to front-line workers in January.
In February, the total number of doses given to the recipient, including frontline workers was 51,575, which rose to 1,17,625 in March.
That number rose to 1,86,853 in April.
The number of doses given crosses two lakh mark in May when a total of 2,21,808 doses given to the recipient of all age groups.
The calculation rose to 2.74,860 and then 3,52,925 each in June and July.
The vaccination rate gained momentum in the second week of August, and a total of 5,84,496 jab was given in August.
However, September solved all previous records, and 9,39,300 jab vaccines provided in September which equaled the total number of Jab given in July and August was put together.
Until September 30, 27,26,097 Jab was given to the recipient who qualified, which included 21,49,901 the first dose recipient and 5.76,196 the second dose receipt.
However, the number shows that a total of 6,86,366 jab was given to the recipient who qualified only 23 days since this month.
This figure shows that around 18 percent of the recipients (7,82,537) in this district are fully vaccinated now.
District immunization officers and additional medical officers, Dr.
Teear Lal, told TOI that more than 2.61 Lakh Jab was given to all recipients who were eligible during the Weeklong special vaccination campaign held between October 18 and 23.

Set targets and more specials and mega vaccination camps are limited to managing Jab for all targeted recipients.
According to the Ministry of Health’s record, the number of recipients aged between 18 and 44 years is seven times more than the receiver over 45 years old.
