New Delhi: Kiosk in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area will soon be rebuilt and given a modern look along with the display panel for advertising, according to officials.
While NDMC has built the first sample kiosk near the Constitutional Club at Rafi Marg in Lutyen’s Delhi, he plans to rebuild 30 kiosks like that in the first phase and in the end up to 250 kiosks, they said.
Development is being carried out under the City Smart project.
The 6×6 foot kiosk will be developed with a complete RCC structure with terrazzo floors and walls along with granite and tile use.
These kiosks will be available with electrical fittings.
“The privilege of these kiosks is that they are truly maintenance free,” said Deputy Chairperson of the NDMC Satish Upadhyay.
It can be easily cleaned through normal washing it does not require other special maintenance, he added.
He said the unique structure would not only have good quality RCC stones but also supply the three-sided open kiosk.
He said the supply of display panels has also been stored outside the kiosk, so advertising can be displayed in the future.
“The estimated cost of rebuilding every kiosk is around Rs 11 lakh under the City City project,” he added.
The top officials explain that rebuilding will help in the beauty of the NDMC area and ultimately increases the ranking of the Civic Body in Lwakkta Survekshan, 2022.
