Ahmedabad: On Thursday, Gujarat recorded 42 new Covid-19 cases, recording a drop of 19% in everyday case.
However, the trend of increasing active cases continued, with the country crossing 300 active cases in 312 after 115 days.
New positive cases include 9 from the city of Ahmedabad, 8 of the city of Vadodara, 6 from the city of Letters, 4 of Kutch, 3 each of the city of Jamnagar, Valsad and Vadodara, 2 of each of the Rajkot City and Letters, and 1 from Bhavnagar and Gandhinagar City Bharuch and Navsari District.
The biggest drop is recorded at Ahmedabad with a three-fold reduction in everyday case.
However, cities continue to form a large portion of everyday cases at 68%.
Ahmedabad has the highest active case in 130, followed by 51 in Vadodara and 34 in Valsad.
The state recorded vaccination from 4.93 lakh people, with a total of 7.62 crores.
Of the total patients, six in the ventilator, mention the state health department bulletin.
“City-based hospitals have less than 10 patients received.
This shows that patients may need less oxygen or intensive care.
But we have to be on guard,” said a city-based doctor.
