Prasagraj: With almost two weeks left for Magh Mela 2022, PWD department officials, health, jal nigam, irrigation, police and power flowing from the pillar to complete the project.
Magh Mela, starting from January 14 will end on March 1, 2022.
Ironically, the Sanjay Goyal division commissioner on Tuesday issued a strong warning to PWD officials to complete the project or face music.
However, officials claimed that the problem of soil erosion still survive forced Maga’s Maga authorities to make alternative arrangements.
District Judge (Magh Mela) Shesh Mani Pandey told TOI that more than 3000 religious, social and spiritual organizations had been looking for land to establish camps and their respective Shivir in Magh Mela.
He added that land expirmation work was taking place in the fifth sector.
“After facing soil erosion problems because of strong river water flows, Mela’s authorities have made alternative and shivir arrangements and camps from various organizations shifting to safer places,” added Pandey.
He, however, said all kinds of facilities will be given to pilgrims, worshipers and visitors in the event throughout the coming month.
All departments also coordinated with each other and the work of establishing 13 police stations and 36 police posts was also ongoing.
This time, the Mela government has decided to involve a team with Mela officials and third parties to verify the facilities offered to fortune tellers, the saints, pilgrims, and kalpwasis live in tents.
Officials claim that this exercise will help Mela authorities to maintain transparency and the fact whether worshipers and pilgrims can benefit in terms of facilities and services by Mela authorities.
