Hyderabad: In the past week, Hyderabad police fined most people in the state for violations related to masks.
This happened after Telangana health officials utilizing mandatory masks in public places remembering the threat of the Omicron Coronavirus variant.
In a larger Hyderabad limit, the police recorded 5,116 cases for violations related to masks in the past week.
Between 1 and 7 December, the Hyderabad police fined 2,778 people found not wearing masks in public places.
Police Rachakonda and Cyberabad police, during the same period, each registering 1,568 cases and 770 cases.
Different institutions collect Rs 1,000 of each violator.
Throughout Telangana, 13,570 cases were registered in the last week by the police.
After the complete Unlock was announced by the state government a few months ago, the police had drives sporadically for good people who did not wear masks.
However, this changed after the Omicron Coronavirus variant appeared in India.
About the suggestion of the State Health Department official, the police have continued enforcement of mask rules.
