Jaipur: The Ministry of Health estimates that the state has around 51.12 lakh children between 15 and 18 years who are eligible for Covid-19 vaccination.
When the center announces vaccination for children (15 to 18 years) from January 3, 2022, on Saturday, the Ministry of Health has increased its preparation.
However, they have not received guidelines from the center.
Parents have vigorously waiting to make their children inoculated like, since November, children began to contract the virus.
Moreover, the Covid case has increased.
After school children began to be infected, parents demanded the continuation of online classes after the state government must issue separate guidelines on it.
Private school hostels have witnessed more than 10 Covid cases.
The Ministry of Health’s figures show that 35 children, under the age of 18, were found to be infected by Corona in November.
However, health authorities have claimed that the majority of them have no relationship with school because they have a Covid history in their families.
“We have estimated that more than 51 children Lakh will be eligible for vaccination, which is included in the age group 15 to 18 years,” said Dr.
Raghuraj Singh, director of the project (vaccination), the Ministry of Health.
This step will help in normalizing education at school and is expected to reduce doubts of parents in sending their children to school.
Dr.
Singh said in December, more than 1 crore received a vaccination shot in the state.
“Vaccination has increased in the state when we conduct a ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign by going to the door to the door.
Also, because the festival season ends in November, more people come to vaccinations,” he said.
The state government has issued direction to collectors to increase vaccination throughout the state.
