Thessaloniki, Greece: A 28-year-old Moroccan man appeared in court in the Greek City of Thessaloniki on Wednesday for early hearing after being arrested for being suspected of being a member of the Islamic State group.
The man, who was not publicly identified, was detained by anti-terrorism police in the northern city on Tuesday at the international arrest warrant issued by Morocco, who was looking for extradition.
According to court officials, the international arrest warrant was issued in 2017 and accused the man since 2014.
The official was talking to anonymous conditions because they were not authorized to talk to the record.
Appeared in Wednesday’s court, the suspect said he did not want to be extradited to Morocco.
The court ordered it to stay in detention waiting for extradition hearing.
