Pune: The State Ministry of Public Health has directed 13 districts, including Akola, Buldhana, Bhandara and Gadchiroli, to increase testing, after they found a collection of samples of less than 5,000 on 13-19 December.
A state health official said the test can only be improved with the background of the center for all countries and districts to increase supervision.
“Districts have been given funds to improve their infrastructure for laboratories and there is no reason why they have to test less,” he said.
13 districts left in testing are directed to increase them in meetings.
“Weekly testing below 5,000 is not acceptable.
It must improve,” said the official.
Some local authorities claimed that they did not report too many Covid cases.
But the center has asked the district to do a search for door to the door and test all sari / Ili and vulnerable / co-morbid, in addition to ensuring the right proportion of the RT-PCR test is carried out every day and contacts of all covid-positive people .
Last week, a total of 7.6 lakh tests were carried out in the state.
Experts emphasize that there are no weaknesses that must be displayed in testing, especially after the Omicron variant.
Authorities stated that the contact of infected people must be tested immediately.
Former State Health Director Dr.
PP Doge said it was known that Omicron spread more even though it might be less fierce.
“There are no districts that can facilitate testing.
Some people don’t even approach the laboratory for testing.
There must be proper supervision, especially because of the winter now,” he told Toi.
Doge said the testing rules might change if the case finally increased.
“Until now, only international passengers are being tested.
There is no community transmission, but we cannot be loose,” he said, emphasizing the increase in vaccination.
The center issued specific guidelines for the countries against the background of “early signs of surge” in the case of Covid-19 and increased detection of interested variants (VOC), Omicron, in various parts of the country.
