Vadodara: Almost no dust settled around the sensational murder of the living partner by his Paramour, a 36-year-old woman and six-year-old daughter was found dead in a state of suspicion in their home in New Road on Monday.
The police questioned the late husband of Shobhana husband Tejas about death, but so far there was no rotten game found.
Tejas worked as a salesman at the electronic showroom in the mall in the Alembic Road.
However, a house where the mother and child underwent a preliminer examination during post-mortem, however, revealed that Shobhana and her daughter Kavya died of poisoning.
The duo was found unconscious when Tejas went using the bathroom around 2am.
“The girl slept upside down, so the man changed his sleep position.
But when the girl did not make any movements, he became suspicious and tried to build his wife, but he also did not respond,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police Bharat Rathod.
Tejas then called his brothers who lived on the lower floor of the same house.
Brothers Shobhana Shailendrasinh and Jitendra and his wife come to check.
Jitendra’s wife, who previously worked as a nurse, examined Shobhana’s pulse and blood pressure.
The police said that Shobhana’s pulse rate was very low, so they immediately rushed and Kavya went to the nearest private hospital in Abhilaasha Circle.
The doctors, however, said they died before entering.
The hospital authority then told the police and the body of the mother duo was transferred to the SSG Hospital for post-mortem examination.
“There are a number of injuries on the woman’s neck, but the doctors who did post-Mortem it ruled out that he would die because he suffocated,” Rathod said.
Viscera samples from the two deceased have been sent for further investigation.
“The exact cause of death will be known as the Viscera report arrives, but earlyly it appears that they die from poisoning,” Rathod added.
The police are now investigating whether Shobhana consumes toxic substances and feeds his daughter too or whether they are poisoned by others.
Their family members have demanded that the exact investigation of this case be carried out.
“They went to the public plot of the people for Garba and returned at midnight.
My sister and nephew love me ‘Good night’ before going up to sleep and at that time they looked fine,” said Shailendrasinh Bariya, Brother Shobhana.
Tejas, Shobhana and Kavya have lived with the Shobhana family for the past seven years.
The trio has their bedroom on the fourth floor while the other family members used to stay downstairs.
