Rajkot: A woman from Panchmahal and worked as a farm laborer in Mandva Village in a botad was ordered to kill her daughter by giving her poison.
The woman had tried to kill himself by eating poison but he survived.
The woman was identified when Leela Nayak had consumed poison on Monday and also feeded her one year old daughter because she did not like to live in her husband’s village.
While his daughter Asmita died, nayak recovered in a hospital in Amreli.
Police said that nayak went away with his parents in Halvad during Rakshabandhan.
After staying at Halvad for more than a month, her husband knew to take him back recently, but he didn’t like to stay in Mandva.
On Monday, after he fed to eat poison to his daughter, he consumed himself.
