Mangaluru: In a heartbreaking incident reported in Nelur Kemraje Village in Sutlia, a woman and her three-year-old son sank in a pool located on a farm on Sunday.
The deceased is Sangeeetha, 30, and Abhimanyu.
Sullia Tahsildar Anithalakshmi, who visited the place, told Toi that it was suspected that the child might first fall into the pool, and his mother was too sinking when trying to save him.
The police said Sangeeetha came to her mother’s house to attend a function.
On Sunday morning, he visited relatives with his son.
When they did not return until around 2:00 p.m., the family went looking for them, and found slippers near the pool.
The child’s body first recovered.
Police Sutia, expert swimmers and firefighting personnel managed to restore their bodies.
The case has been registered.
The lecturer was held to rape small students in an incident revealed after almost three years, the College PU lecturer had been arrested for raping a small student.
Police said that Survivor was allegedly raped in October 2018, during his visit to his home to work on a project.
The lecturer has been accused of taking photos of action on his cellphone, and threatening him not to reveal evil to anyone.
Then, he called him to his house and harassed him sexually on several occasions, he said.
He even threatened to extort him for money.
Based on the complaint submitted by the girl, a case is registered on Saturday under the IPC section 376 (2) (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 384 (extortion), and various parts of Pocso Law and Section 67 ( B) from that action.
The defendant was arrested on Sunday.
