Gurgaon: A 17-year-old girl from Public School Dav, Sector 49 is the first teenager to get Jab Covid for children in Gurgaon.
Tamanna Dhingra said his parents, both were fully vaccinated, motivated him to get a vaccine and he in turn motivated his colleagues to do the same.
His younger brother, who was in grade 7, did not qualify for vaccines.
The Kanna did not have to order an online appointment and just walked to school to take a shot.
“I want to wait a little longer to get a vaccine, but my mother insisted that I got the earliest Kovaxin Jab, continuing to look at the increase in Covid case,” added class 12 students.
He looked excited when he was the first to get a covaxin dose on Monday as part from drive vaccination for children between 15 and 18 years in the city.
“It’s important to get a vaccine.
Everyone must take Jab when their turn comes,” he said.
Ask how he will contribute to the inoculation drive, he said, “I will motivate others to take an example.
Many of my friends have registered with the co-win portal and will soon get Jab.
I hope we can all live a normal life after this.
“The 11th grade of 16 years old from the same school is the second child of the city to vaccinate.
Ayan Lohehab said he had a mixed feelings about vaccination, but his mother, a teacher, helped him understand the importance.
“I initially had doubts, but I understood from my mother.
He had got both the dose and he told me to do it.
I will inspire others to do the same.”
