Vadodara: In another incident that has tarnished the image of ‘Safe City’ Sanskarinagri, a little girl allegedly raped by a boy on a luxury bus on the new VIP road while both of his acquaintances keep the watch outside.
The crime was committed on the night of January 2 when the girl came out to buy groceries for her family and then went to relieve her behind the parked bus.
Teenagers allegedly rape, have been detained by the police but two other accused are still runaway.
According to the police, the 16-year-old girl, which was included in the tribal community, went behind a luxury bus parked on the new VIP road to relieve itself around 9pm.
The defendant, who followed him, convinced him to enter the bus.
“When he raped the girl, two other people known as teenage boys, kept watching outside,” said the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) BB Rathod.
The girl told her uncle about crime after five days.
His family then took him to their indigenous people in Jhabua District in Madhya Pradesh and approached the local police who asked them to report the incident in the city when crime had occurred here.
“The girl’s uncle approached Harnni police on Tuesday night and filed FIR.
We had booked a teenager under the IPC 376 and ACT Pocso,” Rathod said to Ti.
Officially said, “One of the accused, who keeps the watch outside is a bus driver.
We have launched a search for both charges.” Official investigations said the victims of rape and adolescents knew each other because their homes were at close range and they belonged to the same community.
The girl and family members are workers and have lived in a roadside hut in the city for the past 15 years.
The police have conducted the girl’s medical test and also conducted a forensic test at the crime on the bus.
