Cuddalore: A 32-year-old alcohol killed his father, a retired representative of the collector, repeatedly hit him with an iron rod for refusing to give him money to buy liquor in the Cuddalore district on Monday.
The murder was revealed after graduates of unemployed techniques with an MBA title called agency in the city to supply the freezer box to keep his father’s body.
When reaching his house with the freezer box, a male institution found some bleeding injuries in the body and warned the police.
A team from the Cuddalore police station reached the place and arrested the man, identified as Karthik, 32, from Aanauuppam in Cuddalore City.
The deceased has been identified as P Subramanian (76), which retired as a deputy collector more than a decade ago.
The police said Karthik, who had worked with a cellular company in Chennai, resigned from his work one and a half years ago and reached his father’s house in Aanaikuppam.
Retired deputy collector has lived alone after the death of his wife eight years ago.
The couple begged three sons and a daughter.
His daughter had settled in London, England after marriage while older son lived in Bengaluru.
His other sons (twin brothers who were accused of staying at Chennai.
An unemployed man, who took a drink, was used to fighting with his father demanding money to buy liquor.
In one such fight, he got an iron rod and hit his father several times when he refused to give him money.

Defendant Karthik and bottle of empty liquor in his room, police found a messy carthik room with hundreds of bottle of blank liquor and the remaining food packages.
They said the room had not been cleaned for several weeks.
They restored Subramanian’s body and sent it to the Cuddalore Government General Hospital for Postmortem.
Karthik is returned in court custody.
