Dubai: Chennai Super Kings Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Friday became the first player in the world of Cricket to the team captain in 300 T20 matches in various competitions in Kolkata Knight Riders.
The former 40-year-old Indian captain played the 10th IPL final (ninth for CSK as captain), has now led the ‘Yellow Brigade’ in 214 matches (including 23 matches from the T20 Champions League which are now dead).
He has led CSK since the beginning of the IPL.
He has also captured supergiants which increased in 14 matches during an IPL season despite leading India in 72 matches, including six World Cups.

Before the tournament, India only played one T20i, in 2006 in South Africa, where Dhoni was part.

Interestingly, captain Dhoni and rival Eoin Morgan play their 347 T20 game.
