Nagpur: Trees in the Ambazari Reservation Forest “Accidentally” were cut by Maharashtra State Electrical Distribution Limited (MSEDCL) in an effort to prevent branches of coming into contact with the transmission line.
The incident was taken to public notification on Friday, which entered the forest through a new gate built in Pandhrabodi.
In accordance with their information, around 6-7 trees are truly cut from the base in the Ambazari biodiversity park.
“The trees are cut into deep in the forest.

After photos of fallen trees become viral on social media, this problem is forwarded to the Ministry of Forestry officials.
An official told Tii that the trees were cut during the MSEDCL regular maintenance work.
“To avoid branches that come into contact with the transmission channel and shoot, MSEDCL continues to cut the branch.
But this time, some new staff cut 5-6 trees, when we saw this, we immediately stopped them,” the official said.
The official also said that the team conducted a site inspection and had completed the formality.

“It doesn’t look like a routine cutting.
The Ministry of Forestry must carry out the right investigation,” they said.
In another incident, the tree was cut down at Avinash Ground at the Ajni Railway Quarters.
According to activists, the land is under the train.
“It comes under the area where phase-2 inter-capital stations are proposed to appear.
It is not clear how many trees are cut.
We will file a complaint with the Department of Corporation Nagpur Municipal,” they said.
Mearlier too, the trees in the ajni place have been cut down.
