Mumbai: Covid-19 cases and fatality both in the state and city report a significant decline on Monday.
Maharashtra added 544 cases and four deaths – the lowest victims since three deaths on April 1, 2020, while Mumbai added 191 cases and did not see death.
It was the fourth time this month that the city reported zero death.
However, officials linked a decline in testing during the weekend.
The total cost of the state load has increased to 66.5 lakh while death has touched 1,41,353.
The four deaths reported on Monday came from the Thane District, Raigad, Pune and Sindhurdurg district.
Due to an increase in cases over the past few days, active cases in the state have increased.
There are a total of 7,093 active cases in the state, where more than 2,000 are in Mumbai.
Dr.
Shashank Joshi, a member of the Taskforce State Covid, said the focus must be zero Covid death and a less severe case.
“All eyes are in Omicron now and how it will be played in Maharashtra, where Delta causes a big second wave,” he said.
There are no cases of new Omicron, Joshi says Mumbai has done a good job in maintaining Covid death and severe cases of low, adding, “Now, people must focus on masking and behavior that matches Covid, while the country must reach everyone who does not Vaccinated..
“Dr.
Mangala Gomare, BMC executive health worker, said they had increased supervision and made several testing facilities available.
“When people have symptoms, they must be tested,” he said.
In Omicron, Dr.
Gomare said the city had cared for 23 confirmed cases but only 10 of them were Mumbai residents.
“Most cases can be detected at the airport before going home or mingling with family.
Therefore, we don’t have many positive contacts,” he said.
Maharashtra’s Omicron still has not changed on Monday because there are no new cases detected.
The country has reported 54 cases until now 31 has run out.
State officials say temperature decline can cause an increase in other diseases such as cold and cough and with the year-end celebration, there is a need to ensure the appropriate behavior of Covid is a public place.
