Mumbai: The first week of November continued to see hospitalization because of Chikungunya, Dengue and Malaria in the city.
In accordance with the latest BMC numbers, there are 72 malaria, 47 dengue fever and six chikungunya in the first week of November.
This year, the case of dengue fever has recorded a significant leap.
Compared to 2020 when 129 confirmed cases were seen, this year, there were 777 cases.
The three lives have been lost because of viral infections so far.
Besides Dengue, the Chikungunya case is also very increasing this year.
54 cases have been reported this year.
In the previous two years, there were no cases notified to the corporation.
H1N1 influenza has seen a marginal increase compared to last year.
Of the 44 cases last year, it has increased to 64 years.
Dr.
Mangala Gomare, BMC executive health worker said that people must take precautions to prevent mosquito nursery inside or outside their homes.
He also warned people of drugs and said they had to consult a doctor if they had a history of fever, headache, mialgia, or redness of the eye.
Civil officials maintained that most monsoon diseases were very low last year due to pandemics and kuncian.
