Mumbai: The day after witnessing the biggest one-day surge since mid-July, Mumbai on Thursday reported 458 new Coronavirus cases.
The overall case has now risen to 7.46.250.
Also, the dead have now increased to 16,141 with five people who gave up on the virus that day.
Two of the deceased were over 60 years old, while three were in the age group 40-60.
Four of them also have comorbidity.
On the other hand, 185 people recovered from Covid-19 on Thursday, according to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
With a 97 percent recovery rate, Mumbai has so far recorded 7,22,821 disposal.
The city is now left with 4,784 active cases.
The overall growth rate of the Covid-19 case from September 30 to October 6 was 0.06 percent, while the doubling level was 1,118 days.
The number of buildings closed in the BMC limit is now down to 42, while there are no active detention zones (slums and chawls) in the city.
