Mumbai: Two police officers constantly suffered serious stabbing wounds on Sunday at Vikhroli during the operation to arrest a criminal killer and famous allegations.
The defendant, was identified as Shiv Shetty, managed to escape with two legs, while someone was caught.
What angered up the top brass was the fact that no police from the team carrying weapons, despite knowing that they would pursue a criminal accused of committing a sad crime – it was also in the middle of the night.
The injured police officers were identified as Satish Dhavle and Sanjay Chokar, had been treated at Fortis Hospital in Mulund for their injury care.
According to officials, the Vikhroli police were told that criminals, Shetty, would be at Karve Nagar in Vikhroli on Sunday night.
Shetty is a history of Sheeter, on charges of murder and registered attacks on it.
Around 11pm, a team consisting of six police officers, was led by an inspector, put a trap for Shetty.
But criminals caught the wind operating, and he and his accomplice attacked the police with a helicopter.
Vikhroli police have demanded a gang under the IPC to try to kill, attack, and prevent public servants from the use of their duties, and under the ARM acting.
