Gurgaon: Corporate City Gurgaon (MCG) held two camps in Nirvana Country and Spaze Itech Park at Sohna Road and were collected around RS 1.75 Lakh Property Tax on Tuesday.
With only two months left for the current fiscal year, MCG arranges property tax camps to increase their collection.
The Civic’s body has also scheduled camps in other housing communities and commercial units.
“Nearly 75 residents appeared in the property tax camp held in Nirvana, and 20 queries were handled in the Itech Spaze Park.
There are 522 commercial units at Spaze Itech Park, and the majority of those who ask about taxes say that they will submit them online.
Camps -Colection of taxes is also part of the awareness campaign on the tax discount offered by the government.
We have planned such camps in February and March in various residential and commercial spaces, “said Sameer Srivastava, Zonal Tax Officer 4, MCG.
The State Government has decided to provide one-time neglect on interest payments on property tax contributions from 2010-11 to 2020-21 to 31 March 2022.
Property Tax Camp will be held in Vatika City in Sector 49 and Emerald Plaza in Sector 65 in February 3.
Malibu City and Universal Trade Tower in Sector 49 will have their camp in February 5.
MCG estimates to generate RS 1,235 Crore income, including 1,011 crore RS arrears, in fiscal 2021-22 years.
However, it managed to collect only Rs 134.99 Crore so far.
The Civic’s body has collected around Rs 250 Crore in property tax in the last fiscal year and RS 3 Crore in property tax in January.
