A music tribute was given to the legendary Shehnai artist Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan, at the commemoration of his death recently.
The event titled Yaad-e-Bismillah was part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava held at the Faculty of Art Performing, University of Banaras Hindu.
The main guest on the occasion was Dr.
Neelkanth Tewari, State Minister (Independent Load), Tourism, Culture, Affairs of Religion and Protocol.

Then coming to the stage is Ustad Nazim Khan, son of Bismillah Khan, who presents the Solo tabla rescity.
The closing performance was by vocalist Dr.
Soma Ghosh which began with the song Tere Sur Beler Geet followed by bandish at Raag Bihag, Lat Uljhi Sulajha Ja Balam.
He also serves the deceased for favorite composition of Badhaiya’s favorite Ustad Ganga, many of which please music lovers.
He also took the audience to the memory lane by giving the jugalbandi which he did to appear with the late Legend of Shehnai.
