Rajkot: After a new law, making a characteristic of mandatory gold jewelry from June 16 to take effect, the central-sides throughout Gujarat have faced a large pile of supplies.
The government has improved the August 1 time limit to get backlog stocks to get ideals.
Rajkot, a lightweight gold jewelry design hub in this country, mainly faces the heaviest challenges that apply orders because of its long procedures that have stalled supply to other countries and abroad.
This city produces around 40 kg of gold jewelry every day.
Industrial sources claim that 80 percent of jewelry in Rajkot never get their ornaments watched out before.
Hallmark Gold is a sign of trust.
But in making mandatory signs, the maze process proved to be very complicated for jewelry.
Estimates show that in a day, almost 10% of orders are processed.
“Previously, we used to process around 2,000 requests a day, but now we hardly manage around 150 orders,” said a well-placed source that works with a typical center.
Previously, the center had to check the rust of gold randomly from 10% of the articles in one lot.
But now, they must produce six digits of HUID (Unique Hallmark Identification Number) for each article from the bus portal.
“All inspection methods have been online.
We have to upload all details such as weight, volume, the type of gold used, gramage and other information online on the bus server.
We can’t let it go until we get a Huid number, which is time consuming.
As a consequence, there is significant gold buildup in typical centers, “the source said.
Bhayabhai Soni, who runs the biggest characteristic center in Rajkot, said, “We must upload every detail on the portal and make a job card.
We must produce a minimum of 400 mg from one jewelry lot and mention the detail too.
The whole process takes almost two Hours and in one day we can prevent only 50 pieces.
“Soni, who is also the President of the Association of the Rajkot Gold Dealer, then said that the server’s problem adds a long clock.
According to a rough estimate of around 70 to 100 kg of gold ornaments lying stacking waiting to get the characteristics in Rajkot.
Industry associations seek the ease of norm compliance for jewelry characteristics.
Ramesh Lolaria, Jewelry Consultants on Problems Typical, “We have suggested to the government to take the declaration of stock traders before June 16 and allow this to be sold without characteristics.
It will clean the big backlog and the waiting period.” Divyesh Patadiya, Rajkot Gems and Jewelery Association president said, “Because of this waiting period, we must do advanced planning so we can provide ornaments to customers for marriage or festivals that need a large investment.
Small traders are unable to buy such investments.” Jitendra Bhindi, a jewelry Junagadh which is part of the Netmarking Committee, said that the government was positive in overcoming all problems.
“Huin is clearly a serious problem and the government has formed a separate committee to find a solution to the problem,” he said.
